This is the first audit performed under the Web Studio Site Audit Framework Exception. Standard crawlers cannot parse JS-rendered single-page applications, so this audit used Playwright-based crawling via tools/web_studio_crawler.py. The audit covered 21 content pages across 4 categories (Core, Guides, Policy, Framework) on the aisearch.enroutegrowthplatform.io domain.
Two critical issues were identified. First, a homepage product mismatch where the homepage pitches a completely different product (EGP/CRM features including AI Employees, SMS Bots, Voice Agents, Web Bots, MapBoost, Text-to-Pay, and Appointment Scheduling) while the remaining 20 pages consistently position the site as an AI Search Visibility & Authority platform. Second, broken navigation links where phone and email hrefs are missing tel: and mailto: prefixes, causing them to render as dead page routes within the SPA.
Beyond the critical items, the audit found 4 high-severity compliance gaps (missing legal disclaimers, unsubstantiated performance claims, implied service guarantees, and citation gaps violating EGP's own Sources Policy), 5 medium-severity issues (H1 concatenation bugs, duplicate headings, JS-only rendering risk, proprietary terminology labeling, and missing policy enforcement mechanisms), and 3 low-severity items (missing copyright notice, email domain inconsistency, and unverifiable pricing).
Gate Review
GATE-WSA-001 ACTIVE
The site cannot clear this gate until all critical and high-severity items are resolved. Top 3 conditions for clearance:
- Homepage content must align with AI Search Visibility & Authority positioning (WSA-001)
- All tel:/mailto: links must use proper URI schemes (WSA-002)
- Legal disclaimers and "results may vary" language must be added to service and pricing pages (WSA-003, WSA-004, WSA-005)
This is an internal EGP product site, not a client deliverable. The compliance framework applies to EGP's own marketing claims about its AI Search Visibility & Authority services.
Governing Standards
| Standard | Applicability |
| FTC Act Section 5 | Prohibits unfair or deceptive marketing claims. All performance claims on the site ("Revenue Growing in Days," "$1,000+ Wasted Every Month") must be substantiated with reasonable basis. |
| FTC Endorsement Guides | Require substantiation for performance claims and clear disclosure of material connections. Applicable to testimonials and case study references. |
| EGP Sources Policy | Internal standard requiring tiered citation: Tier 1 (peer-reviewed/official), Tier 2 (credible third-party), Tier 3 (expert observation), Tier 4 (working hypotheses). The site publishes this policy but does not consistently follow it. |
| EGP Corrections Policy | Internal editorial governance with public changelog. Defines how content errors are identified, reviewed, and corrected. |
| CAN-SPAM Act | Newsletter subscription CTAs ("Subscribe to the Visibility Brief") must comply with unsubscribe requirements and sender identification. |
Web Studio Exception: This audit was performed under the Web Studio Site Audit Framework Exception. Items normally checked in standard audits (server response codes, canonical tags, structured data, Core Web Vitals, robots.txt, crawl depth, image alt text, mobile responsiveness, redirect chains) are excluded because JS-rendered SPAs cannot be assessed with standard crawling tools. See workflows/web_studio_site_audit.md for the full exclusion list.
24 of 38 audited items pass. These elements should be preserved during remediation and serve as reference patterns for fixing the identified breaks.

Critical Launch Blockers (2)
WSA-001 Homepage Product Mismatch
| Severity | CRITICAL |
| Page(s) | / (Home) |
| Issue | The homepage pitches AI Employees, SMS Bots, Voice Agents, Web Bots, MapBoost, Text-to-Pay, and Appointment Scheduling (EGP/CRM product features). All other 20 pages position the site as AI Search Visibility & Authority (AEO, GEO, SEO + PR, Reputation, Reviews). This is a fundamental brand integrity failure. A visitor arriving from any other page or from search would encounter a completely different value proposition on the homepage. |
| Fix | Replace homepage content with AI Search Visibility & Authority messaging that matches the rest of the site. The current homepage content appears to be a leftover from a previous site version or template. |
| Owner | Marc Williams (CDAIO) + EGP Platform Engineering Web Studio |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-002 Broken Navigation Links (tel/mailto)
| Severity | CRITICAL |
| Page(s) | Site-wide |
| Issue | Phone number (+18885550192) and email (hello@enroutegrowth.com) are linked as page routes rather than tel: and mailto: URIs. The crawler discovered /+18885550192 and /hello@enroutegrowth.com as page paths, both rendering as blank pages. Users clicking these in some browsers will land on empty or error pages instead of triggering a phone call or email client. |
| Fix | Update href attributes to use proper URI schemes: tel:+18885550192 and mailto:hello@enroutegrowth.com. |

| Status | OPEN |
High Required Fixes (4)
WSA-003 No Legal Disclaimers
| Severity | HIGH |
| Page(s) | All pages |
| Issue | No Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or results disclaimers detected on any page. No "results may vary" language despite multiple performance claims. FTC Section 5 requires reasonable basis for advertising claims. |
| Fix | Add footer links to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Add "Results may vary" disclaimers on the Services page and any page with quantitative performance claims. |
| Owner | General Counsel (ExCom) |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-004 Unsubstantiated Performance Claims
| Severity | HIGH |
| Page(s) | / (Home) |
| Issue | "$1,000+ Wasted Every Month" and "Revenue Growing in Days" are presented as facts without sourcing, qualification, or disclaimers. Per EGP's own Sources Policy, these require Tier 1 or Tier 2 citation. Per FTC guidance, performance claims in advertising require substantiation. |
| Fix | Either substantiate with cited sources (add Tier label per Sources Policy) or add qualifying language ("many businesses report..." or "based on industry averages..."). |
| Owner | Betty Suarez (CoS) |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-005 Implied Service Guarantees Without Qualification
| Severity | HIGH |
| Page(s) | /guides/egp-ai-aeo, /guides/egp-ai-geo, /services |
| Issue | Service pages use language like "get your business cited in AI-generated answers" without disclaimers. AI citation is not directly controllable by any vendor. No asterisks, disclaimers, or "results may vary" language accompanies these promises. |
| Fix | Add qualifying language: "designed to improve your chances of being cited" rather than "get your business cited." Add results disclaimer to all service guide pages. |
| Owner | Betty Suarez (CoS) |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-006 Citation Gap - Own Policy Violation
| Severity | HIGH |
| Page(s) | Multiple guide pages, /framework/ |
| Issue | The Sources Policy establishes a 4-tier citation system requiring Tier 1-2 claims to include source attribution and Tier 4 claims to be labeled as hypotheses. The framework page's hierarchy rules ("Authority gates AEO," "AEO feeds GEO") and guide pages' claims lack inline citations or tier labels. This violates EGP's own published editorial standards. |
| Fix | Add inline source citations with tier labels to all factual claims. Label framework hierarchy assertions as Tier 3 (expert observation) or Tier 4 (working hypotheses) per the Sources Policy. |
| Owner | Betty Suarez (CoS) |

Medium Recommended Fixes (5)
WSA-007 H1 Concatenation Bug
| Severity | MEDIUM |
| Page(s) | 8 guide pages |
| Issue | H1 tags on service guide pages show concatenated text without spacing: "EGP AI AEOAnswer Engine Optimization" instead of "EGP AI AEO - Answer Engine Optimization". Affected pages: egp-ai-aeo, egp-ai-geo, egp-ai-seo, egp-authority, egp-authority-pr, egp-authority-reputation, egp-authority-reviews-management, egp-local-seo. |
| Fix | Fix the H1 template in EGP Platform Engineering Web Studio to add proper spacing or separator between the service name and subtitle. |
| Owner | EGP Platform Engineering Web Studio |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-008 Duplicate H2/H3 Heading
| Severity | MEDIUM |
| Page(s) | /about |
| Issue | "What is EGP Core?" appears as both an H2 and an H3 directly below it. This creates an accessibility issue (screen readers announce it twice) and an SEO signal dilution. |
| Fix | Remove the duplicate H3 or differentiate the heading text. |
| Owner | EGP Platform Engineering Web Studio |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-009 JS-Only Rendering Risk
| Severity | MEDIUM |
| Page(s) | Site-wide |
| Issue | The entire site returns "This website requires JavaScript to function properly" to non-JS clients. While most modern search engines execute JS, some AI crawlers and social media preview bots do not. This could impact discoverability in the very AI engines the site is designed to optimize for. |
| Fix | Implement server-side rendering (SSR) or pre-rendering for critical pages. At minimum, ensure Open Graph tags and meta descriptions are in the static HTML source. |
| Owner | CTO (ExCom) |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-010 Proprietary Terminology as Industry Standard
| Severity | MEDIUM |
| Page(s) | Multiple pages |
| Issue | Terms like "AI-Era Search Engine Optimization," "Authority gates AEO," and the six-layer hierarchy are EGP-coined frameworks presented without explicit labeling as proprietary methodology vs. industry consensus. |
| Fix | Add brief qualifiers like "EGP's framework for..." or "In EGP's model..." where proprietary frameworks are introduced. This aligns with the Sources Policy's Tier 3/Tier 4 labeling requirement. |
| Owner | Betty Suarez (CoS) |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-011 Missing Enforcement Mechanism for Editorial Policies
| Severity | MEDIUM |
| Page(s) | /corrections, /sources-policy |
| Issue | The Corrections Policy and Sources Policy define strong editorial standards but do not specify who audits compliance, how often, or what happens if internal content violates the policies. Without enforcement, the policies are aspirational rather than operational. |
| Fix | Add an "Enforcement" section to each policy specifying review cadence (quarterly), responsible party (Betty Suarez / ExCom), and consequences of non-compliance. |
| Owner | Betty Suarez (CoS) |
| Status | OPEN |
Low Enhancements (3)
WSA-012 Missing Copyright Notice in Footer
| Severity | LOW |
| Page(s) | All pages |
| Issue | The standard EGP copyright notice "(c) 1991-2026 EnRoute Growth Platform. All rights reserved." is not visible in page footers. |
| Fix | Add copyright notice to the site footer template. |
| Owner | EGP Platform Engineering Web Studio |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-013 Email Domain Inconsistency
| Severity | LOW |
| Page(s) | / (Home) |
| Issue | Contact email uses hello@enroutegrowth.com while the site domain is enroutegrowthplatform.io. This creates a subtle brand inconsistency. |
| Fix | Verify this is intentional. If the enroutegrowth.com domain is the primary business email domain, document this. Otherwise, align to @enroutegrowthplatform.io. |
| Owner | Betty Suarez (CoS) |
| Status | OPEN |
WSA-014 Pricing Verification Not Possible
| Severity | LOW |
| Page(s) | /services |
| Issue | The pricing cards on the Services page contain dollar amounts that could not be extracted by the Playwright crawler (rendered as visual elements). Cannot verify compliance with the "no .97 pricing" rule or the "3.5% processing fee" disclosure requirement. |
| Fix | Manual verification needed. Ensure all pricing uses round numbers ($699, $799, $999, $1,999) and that the 3.5% processing fee is disclosed. |

This table defines approved vs. prohibited phrasing for the AI Search Visibility & Authority product site. Copywriters and EGP Platform Engineering Web Studio regeneration tools should check against this table before publishing.
| Category | Prohibited | Approved | Reason |
| Service Claims |
"Get cited in AI answers" / "Guaranteed AI visibility" / "We will get you into ChatGPT" |
"Designed to improve your AI search visibility" / "Our methodology aims to increase citation likelihood" |
AI citation is probabilistic, not deterministic. No vendor controls AI engine output. |
| Results Language |
"Revenue Growing in Days" / "$1,000+ Wasted Every Month" (without citation) |
"Clients have reported..." / "Based on industry research..." / "Results vary by market and implementation" |
FTC requires substantiation for performance claims. Unqualified claims create legal exposure. |
| Framework Language |
"Authority gates everything" / "The definitive framework" (as absolute statements) |
"In EGP's framework..." / "EGP's model suggests..." / "Based on our observations..." |
Per EGP Sources Policy, proprietary observations require Tier 3/4 labeling. |
| Competitive Positioning |
"Other agencies can't do this" / "The only platform that..." |
"Unlike traditional SEO-only approaches..." / "Where most agencies stop at traditional SEO, EGP adds..." |
Comparative claims require substantiation; absolute claims invite challenge. |
| Pricing/Offer Language |
Prices ending in .97 / Hidden fees / Undisclosed processing fees |
"Free AI Visibility Audit" (if genuinely free) / "Starting at $X/month" with round numbers |
EGP pricing standards require round numbers and 3.5% processing fee disclosure. |
The following disclaimers must be added to the site. Each block contains the exact copy, ready to paste.
1. Results Disclaimer (Services and Guide Pages)
"Individual results vary based on market conditions, competitive landscape, AI engine algorithm changes, and implementation quality. EGP does not guarantee specific rankings, citations, or revenue outcomes. Past performance is not indicative of future results."
2. AI Platform Disclaimer (AEO/GEO Service Pages)
"AI search engines including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Gemini update their models, training data, and citation methods independently. EGP's optimization methodology is designed to improve citation likelihood but cannot guarantee inclusion in any specific AI engine's responses."
3. Methodology Disclaimer (Framework and Methodology Pages)
"The EGP AI Search Visibility Framework represents EGP's proprietary methodology based on industry research, client data, and practitioner observation. Framework components labeled as 'working hypotheses' reflect EGP's current understanding and may be updated as the industry evolves."
4. Free Audit Disclaimer (Audit CTAs)
"The AI Visibility Audit is provided at no cost and with no purchase obligation. Audit findings are based on publicly available data and EGP's proprietary analysis methodology."
